The original Carrickfergus Camera Club appears to have been formed some time in the 1940s. No records survive from that time but a professional photographer from Kerry recently confirmed that her Grandfather (who sparked her interest in photography) was a member here in 1947 or 48.

Since that time, our club has brought together and encouraged local people with an interest in photography.

We are a member of the Northern Ireland Photographic Association (NIPA) which is affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB).

The club was a Founder Member of the East Antrim Photographic Union (EAPU) - the oldest photographic association in the Country.

Our members have interests in all aspects of photography - Landscape, Portrait, Sport, Macro, Seascape, B&W etc.. New members are always welcome, with all levels of photographic experience catered for.

We meet in The Carrick Room, The Clarion Hotel (on the Belfast Road) at 8:00 pm on alternate Tuesdays (see Calendar for dates).
